Fine Art & Antiques over two days, 16 and 17 September – 1,002 lots. DAY ONE is led by an exceptional silver section of 217 lots: a large George III pierced cake basket, London 1808, of 121 troy ounces (£10,000-15,000); a set of four German silver altar candlesticks, Augsburg 1745-7 (£8,000-12,000); an extensive Polish silver flatware service of 148 pieces; a Charles II flat-top tankard by Edward Gladwin, London 1671; and named work by Paul Storr, Omar Ramsden, Hester Bateman and Georg Jensen. Also glass by Lalique and Loetz, Liberty pewter by Archibald Knox, Minton majolica, militaria and Asian art. DAY TWO is led by Andy Warhol’s Billy Squier, a screenprint trial proof of 1982 (£8,000-12,000), with a signed L.S. Lowry lithograph and two Harry Epworth Allen gouaches. Also 190 lots of jewellery, 44 watches, clocks, sculpture, Persian rugs, and a run of Yorkshire oak by Derek Slater and Robert Thompson of Kilburn.
