A guitar pick Prince actually used at Wembley, a boxful of no-reserve Dinky toys, a working farm’s worth of tractors near Westhill, and a Suffolk saleroom stacked with pictures and furniture. Four sales, two days, four completely different crowds. Here’s what’s worth your time across all of them this bank-holiday weekend.
What’s in the Rock Consignments London ‘Prince’ sale?
Rock Consignments London runs an online-only pop-up auction featuring Prince and other artists on Friday 28 August 2026 at 8:00pm (BST). It’s online only, so you bid from home with no travel — just nerve. The Prince material here is personal, not merchandise.
Standout Prince lots
- Stage-used guitar picks from Wembley Arena, shared with guitarist Miko Weaver
- The ‘Batman’ mirror bracelet worn on stage and in photos
- A Gianni Versace Medusa gold-tone watch he owned and wore, plus an ear cuff, pin and his original Love Symbol necklace
- Hand-annotated Lovesexy and Purple Rain tour rooming lists from the Epperson archive
- Personally owned cassettes of Purple Rain, Graffiti Bridge and the Batman soundtrack, an NPG hockey jersey, and a Steve Parke print numbered 48 of 50
It isn’t Prince alone. There’s an autographed Lennon & McCartney Beatles song book with a Tracks COA, a Michael Jackson-worn Jackson 5 T-shirt, Noel Gallagher’s handwritten lyrics to Oasis’s ‘The Masterplan’, three Britney Spears owned-and-worn shirts, and Chris Martin’s stage-played Casio MT-100 keyboard from Coldplay’s Viva la Vida era. Check the certification on each lot, then browse the live catalogue on Bidspirit before it closes.
How does the Best Model Toys 60-second timed auction work?
Best Model Toys runs its Sixty Second Timed Auction of collectible model, vintage & retro toys — an online-only sale based at Griffin House, Nightingale Road, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 2NW. Bidding opens Saturday 29 August 2026 at 9:00am (BST), with lots closing from Sunday 6 September at 6:00pm (BST).
The format is the fun part. When a lot closes, any late bid resets a 60-second counter-bid clock — it rewards cool heads over deep pockets. Better still, every lot is no reserve, so the market sets the price, not a hidden floor. Individual lots aren’t listed yet, so watch the catalogue as consignments load, but expect the diecast, tinplate and retro toys this Horsham house is known for. There’s an in-house global shipping service, with collections from Monday 7 September following online payment. If you’re chasing a childhood Dinky or Corgi, these West Sussex auctioneers are an easy first-timer’s entry point. Track it via the auction listing or the live catalogue on EasyLive.
Where is the B.A. Auction Marts agricultural sale in Aberdeenshire?
B.A. Auction Marts holds its August Big Agricultural, Commercial Vehicles, Construction, Trailers & Garden Equipment Auction at Lyne of Skene, Westhill, Aberdeenshire, AB32 7DA. It’s an online-only outdoor sale bidding from Saturday 29 August 2026 at 9:00am (BST), with in-person viewing on Friday 28 August, 10:00am–3:00pm — well worth doing before you commit to plant or a trailer you can’t easily return.
The full lot list is still filling out, but the categories tell you who this sale is for: working agricultural kit, commercial vehicles, construction and groundworks machinery, trailers, and garden equipment. If you’re buying tools of the trade, checking hours, service history and condition in person is everything. These Scotland auctioneers are the sort of end-of-month sale where a sharp bidder lands usable machinery below dealer money. See what’s consigned on the auction listing and the live catalogue on Bidspirit.
Is the Lacy Scott & Knight Homes & Interiors sale online or in person?
Both. Lacy Scott & Knight hosts its Homes & Interiors sale at The Auction Centre, 10 Risbygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. It runs Saturday 29 August 2026 from 9:30am (BST), online and in the room — so bid live, leave an absentee commission, or turn up and raise your hand.
This is a general antiques, pictures and furniture sale, running collectables in lots 1–353 straight into pictures and furniture from lot 501, with no break between — so read the running order and time your arrival. For interior designers and trade dealers it’s productive ground: pictures for the wall and brown furniture at sensible weekend money. These Suffolk auctioneers run a welcoming regional saleroom if you want to learn how a mixed sale flows. Preview the running order on the live catalogue on the-saleroom, and factor buyer’s premium onto the hammer price.
